CACI International Inc. announced today it was awarded a multi-million dollar task order contract to continue providing rapid response technical forensics and exploitation support for the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center (CERDEC) Intelligence and Information Warfare Directorate (I2WD). This multi-year task order, awarded under the Rapid Response Third Generation contract vehicle, increases the size and scope of CACI’s work for this customer in its Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) market area.
CACI has a strong track record of supporting I2WD’s mission to research and develop intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, electronic warfare, and cyber technologies employed by U.S. troops to defeat new and varying threats. This support includes the development, design, and implementation of critical software.
John Mengucci, CACI’s Chief Operating Officer and President of U.S. Operations, said, “CACI will leverage our software engineering expertise and in-depth knowledge of the Intelligence and Information Warfare Directorate’s technology environment to enhance the Army’s capability to field new counter-IED (improvised explosive device) technology.”
According to CACI President and Chief Executive Officer Ken Asbury, “The world remains a dangerous place, with new global threats continuously emerging. With this award to continue our support for the Army’s technical forensics and exploitation mission, we have the opportunity to advance technology whenever the military needs it, which will help protect American soldiers wherever they serve.”
